Once upon a time, Anansi had a dream so vivid that it felt real. In this dream, he was living large—rich beyond his wildest imagination! He had a grand mansion, and fleets of luxury cars, and was surrounded by bodyguards and servants. Life was perfect! But suddenly, he jolted awake, only to find himself lying on his old raffia mat in his humble mud room. Furious, Anansi wished that the dream had never ended.

He rushed to tell his wife, Okonore Yaa, about the incredible wealth and opportunities he'd "lost." She listened calmly and then said, "Maybe this dream is a sign. Perhaps it's showing you that if you work hard, this life could be yours." But Anansi wasn’t having it. “No, no, no! The Almighty didn’t do right by me at all,” he grumbled.

Determined to do something about it, Anansi set out at dawn to the Kingdom of Almighty God. When he arrived, he boldly declared, “My Lord, in Genesis 1:31, you said everything you created was very good. But I must tell you, there's one thing you got wrong—dreams! If I dream it, it should happen!”

Almighty God, amused by Anansi’s complaint, responded, “Go back, Anansi. I will visit you on the sixth day starting today. That morning, I shall decree the ‘Law of Dreams,’ and from then on, your dreams will become reality.” Excited beyond belief, Anansi rushed home and told Okonore Yaa and their son Ntekuma, “This week, my friends, is the ‘Week of Dreams!’ Dream big—riches, wealth, everything you want! Soon it will all come true!”

Finally, on the eve of the sixth day, Anansi had another dream—but this time, it wasn’t so sweet. He found himself being chased by a madman wielding a machete! No matter how fast he ran, the madman got closer. In the end, Anansi tripped and fell, and the madman caught up with him, slashing him all over. He was at death’s door.

His screams were so loud that Okonore Yaa shook him awake. Heart pounding, Anansi peeped out the window to see the first light of dawn. Without wasting a second, he ran to the farmyard, where Almighty God stood with His mighty hand raised, ready to proclaim the ‘Law of Dreams.’

Anansi fell at God's feet and pleaded, “My Lord, revoke my request! I’ve learned my lesson. Your creation is indeed perfect as it is. Everything you made is very good—no changes needed!”
